Based on multiple pieces of reporting from reputable outlets, but the bulk of which was reported by Jeremy Scahill for The Nation, The Bird & The Boy is a 12-page comic that tells the true story of the death of Abdul-Rahman Al-Awlaki, a 16 year old American citizen. Killed in a drone strike, his story is endemic of the faults of the targeted killing programme and the ‘surgical’ naturer of drones.
